Welcome to the Mid Deeside Church of Scotland website. We hope that your visit will give you a better idea of who we are, what we are doing and where you can find us. The parish of Mid Deeside was established on 1 June 2002 following the union of the three former parishes of Kincardine O’Neil, Lumphanan and Torphins.
Every church consists of ordinary people who have their own needs and interests and that makes for an interesting mix. We have a rich diversity made up of people who have come from different backgrounds, different denominations and from no church background. Many grew up in the Church of Scotland but many did not. If you want a church where everybody thinks the same or keeps to a particular line laid down by the Minister or a church hierarchy, you will not find that here.
The spiritual centre of all we do is the love of God in Jesus Christ. We are in the business of change because that is the calling and purpose of the Church. Change in the lives of individuals and through that, change in the relationships and values that affect the world we live in.
This website is part of our mission to show and tell of the love of Jesus Christ for our community and beyond.
